Workshop description
In this workshop, we will be working on painting the landscape on site. Through oil painting we will focus on improving paint handling, color mixing, building a composition, and essentials for working outdoors, all with the hope of capturing the sense of light in a scene. This class will include teacher demonstrations to explain key ideas, followed by a lot of painting time when I’ll come around to give individual attention and advice.

For those who may be deterred by the high cost of paper, not to worry. Paper will be furnished by the instructor.

Supplies required: Medium size sketch pad (9×12 or 11×14) and soft charcoal; full sheet of watercolor paper (15×22); large round or 1” flat watercolor brush.
